Welcome to our Seeds of Hope Program
The Seeds of Hope program provides encouragement to families when a child or a parent with children 18-years and under has been diagnosed with an acute life-threatening medical illness.
We serve Washington's King and Pierce Counties as well as Oregon's Yamhill, Polk and Marion Counties.
We understand that these families are dealing with a very difficult medical situation and we would like to encourage them with no strings attached! We believe that all families can benefit from some encouragement whether their needs are great or small. We also want to be sensitive to timing and where they are in this process. The Seeds of Hope Committee has met dozens of families and has been able to bring encouragement to each of them. Sometimes that comes in the form of a weekend away or help with bills or other urgent needs. These are some ways in which we have encouraged many, many families in the past.
Our Process:
1. Families complete a Seeds of Hope Application to help us get to know them better and find out how we can best serve their needs.
2. Families sends [email or mail] a Doctor’s diagnosis of the current medical illness. Doctor’s Questionnaire: Seeds of Hope Doctor's Note.pdf or by this Link: https://seeyalater.ejoinme.org/MyPages/DoctorsNoteWA
3. A Seeds of Hope committee member will contact the family after the application and diagnosis note have been reviewed. The committee meets on a monthly basis to review applications.
We utilize our resources to each family’s individual needs. Seeds of Hope may or may not provide applicant with support based on “See Ya Later” Foundation’s financial position, previous commitments or application assessment by the Seeds of Hope Committee.
